- Greetings! Located in zone 4b Iowa, I have been gardening for many years. I started over twice by moving to a new home. Ten years at our current home has allowed me to shape the property the way I like it, including garden beds from shade to full sun, cherry trees, a blackberry patch, a strawberry patch, and some vegetables strewn in with the flowers (tomatoes, peppers, peas, carrots, herbs). I'm planning to add more fruit trees next year (pears & apples).
